White fused alumina / White Corundum Grit is a high-grade refractory material, which made from high-quality alumina powder by melting above 2000 ℃ in the electric arc furnace and cooling, classified into different grain sizes. The white fused alumina is the main raw material for the production of unshaped and shaped refractory materials.
White fused alumina is made of high-purity low-sodium alumina powder by melting at the high temperature, cooling crystallization, and then crushing. The white fused alumina grit is under strict controlling to keep the grain size distribution and the consistent appearance.
Commonly used in ladle castables, iron runner materials, refractory gunning mix materials and other monolithic refractory products; For the shaped refractory materials, it is mainly used in the high-quality raw materials of corundum brick, corundum mullite, refining steel porous plug brick, integral spray gun, steelmaking and continuous casting industry.
It also can be used as materials for polishing, precision casting, spraying and coating, special ceramics
